Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska will make an official visit to Finland on 19 March 2025. They will be hosted by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
The visit will begin with a welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, followed by formal discussions on Finland’s support for Ukraine and efforts to end Russia’s war of aggression.
The talks will include key Finnish government officials, including Minister of Finance Riikka Purra, Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
After the discussions, the Presidents will hold a joint press conference. Talks will then continue with representatives from the defence industry.
President Zelensky will also meet Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. Later in the day, Presidents Zelensky and Stubb, along with their spouses, will visit the University of Helsinki for a discussion with students. The visit will conclude with a session on civil protection.
First Lady Olena Zelenska and Suzanne Innes-Stubb will have a separate programme, including a visit to a primary school with Minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz. They will also meet the Rector of the University of Helsinki, the President of Tampere University, and university professors.
The visit follows a recent meeting between Presidents Stubb and Zelensky in London on 2 March.
