				YLE: Helsinki police terminates unit tasked with preventing honour-based violence

HELSINKI POLICE DEPARTMENT has pulled the plug on its effort to prevent honour-based violence, according to several members of the department interviewed by YLE.

Helsinki Police Department used to have a unit specialising in preventing honour-based violence by working together with immigrant families to create contacts with individuals who are believed to have been subjected to honour-based violence and other members of their family.
