Linnanmäki amusement park will open its latest ride, Huristin, to the public on Thursday, 10 July. The ride is aimed at younger visitors and offers a market-themed experience with rotating motion in both directions.
The ride is styled as a cheerful toribussi, a market bus, moving back and forth through an imaginary outdoor food market filled with colourful vegetables and garden features. Riders travel in circles both clockwise and counterclockwise.
Designed by Linnanmäki’s in-house team, Huristin is set in a miniature allotment garden and market scene. The area features market stalls, themed props, and a festive atmosphere aimed at families.
“We’re pleased to bring Huristin into our ride selection this season. It’s a charming and accessible experience especially for younger guests,” said Niina Häkkinen, Head of Services at Linnanmäki.
Huristin was manufactured by the Italian ride maker Zamperla, whose attractions are already familiar to Linnanmäki guests. The company also built the Rekkaralli, Hypytin and Muksupuksu rides, which have remained popular among families.
Children over 105 cm can ride Huristin independently. Those between 90 cm and 105 cm may ride with a guardian. The attraction is included in the park’s Pikkuhupi wristband, which covers rides for younger guests.
A second new ride, Keikutin, will open next to Huristin later in the season. Keikutin will feature strawberry-themed swinging and spinning motion in a similar market-style setting. Linnanmäki will announce its opening date separately.
