Easter holiday return traffic in Finland is expected to reach its peak on Monday, with congestion likely on major roads across the south of the country, according to traffic management company Fintraffic.

The busiest hours are projected between 12:00 and 20:00, particularly on highways connecting southern population centres. Fintraffic has urged drivers to prepare for delays and to plan journeys with additional time in mind.

A band of rain moving across southern Finland is likely to contribute to slower traffic during the afternoon hours. Meteorologists expect the rain to shift gradually eastward through the day. In other parts of the country, road conditions are expected to remain dry and clear.

Fintraffic has not issued any formal warnings but recommends motorists remain attentive to changing weather conditions and monitor traffic updates before setting off.
