Finnish police have arrested a 62-year-old man on suspicion of murdering his business partner at a private residence in the Soukanniemi district of Espoo.
The victim, a 56-year-old company executive and lawyer, was found dead at his home on the evening of 7 May. Police believe the homicide occurred between 19:00 and 22:30. The suspect was apprehended at the scene.
Authorities are seeking the suspect’s formal detention on murder charges. The case will be heard at the Länsi-Uusimaa District Court on Sunday.
According to police, the victim owned the detached property where the incident occurred. The address is also registered as the location of a holding company under his ownership. He was a board member in several firms and had an active role in multiple consultancy and IT-related businesses.
